I am writing to encourage my friends and neighbors to support the proposed shopping center at the corner of Golden Gate and Wilson boulevards in Golden Gate Estates.
It is my belief that this shopping center will greatly improve property values, which have dropped significantly over the past couple of years. This project has the opportunity to stimulate more home sales in the Estates, as younger, working families look at it as a convenient amenity.
When are people going to realize that the Estates is no longer rural and has become a bedroom community for people who work in Naples? As such, we need to have stores and restaurants in our own area so we don’t have to drive into town just for a gallon of milk.
I will be voting “yes” on this shopping center on Nov. 2.
